Our goal is to add a “blue” or “Blue-black” - intermediate to hard - Via Ferrata in the David Thompson corridor soon. Then we will have a selection of difficulties. Then you will be able to have choice, progression and something new to bring you back over and over again!
Via Ferratas are very expensive to build when compared to rock climbing routes. The Mt. Stelfox Via Ferrata cost $8000 to build, while the newer Mt. Ernest Ross Via Ferrata cost $15 000. These costs are only for the materials, as all of the labour was provided voluntarily.
Your contribution helps us recoup the cost of building the Via Ferratas, as well as funding future maintenance and Via Ferrata development. Lastly, your contribution keep this website online.
